Adarsh Kaur Khalsa loves teaching Kundalini Yoga and Celestial Communication. She began her yogic journey at the age of 14 through the practice of sun salutations in a modern dance class. Around that time, Adarsh was also teaching music and movement to children at her church; she choreographed arm movements to songs about God for the children to share with the community.
In 1999, Adarsh began the practice of Kundalini Yoga in Austin, Texas at Yoga Yoga and was so inspired by its transforming effects that she became a KRI certified Kundalini Yoga teacher in 2000.
At the direction of Yogi Bhajan, Adarsh moved to Espanola, New Mexico to practice the teachings and develop herself into a strong, confident, Khalsa woman. She worked as a Human Resources manager for seven years at Akal Security, a company founded by Yogi Bhajan, to develop her grit, and to apply Kundalini Yoga to the every day experiences of business, relationships, and communication.
Every Sunday for seven years, Adarsh taught the children of the community (sangat) Celestial Communication, and they led the adults during the sacred services of the Sikhs. Yogi Bhajan wrote in a letter to Adarsh, "The sangat loves your celestial communication. It uplifts everyone."
Adarsh now lives in Los Angeles, where she held the role of Director of Yoga West in Los Angeles, the home of Yogi Bhajan, and is now serving as the Director of Yoga West's Level 1 Teacher Training program. Adarsh has taught Kundalini Yoga, Celestial Communication, and Bhangra Dance to people of all ages and in many settings. It is her joy.
“Celestial communication will work wonders with all people, all religions and living in all places. It is a methodology which will do you a tremendous amount of relief in your inner being.” - Yogi Bhajan
